Welcome to Natacha Alvarez Psychotherapy, a dedicated private practice committed to offering support and guidance. The focus is on helping teenagers and adults cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves, fostering personal growth and emotional well-being. Through a compassionate and curious approach, we work together to navigate life's challenges and enhance your overall mental health.

  • The therapeutic relationship can be a valuable tool for addressing challenges in family, work, school, or romantic relationships.

  • Using a variety of therapeutic approaches creates personalized treatment plans that help manage how your anxiety and depression are uniquely expressed.

  • Allowing yourself to grieve the past enables you to redefine your present and future

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a talk based therapy and it uses the therapeutic relationship to help the person explore thoughts and feelings that may be out of awareness. Feelings, memories, conflicts, ways of relating to others, self-perceptions-all of these can be unconscious (out of our awareness) and it can cause problems with thoughts and behavior such as anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem, and difficulties with relationships. The therapist listens closely, but also participates. It’s a partnership.

  • A creative and non-verbal approach that can help the individual and the therapist to access the person’s inner feelings and emotional conflicts. It’s an effective treatment in the work with children and adolescence who may not have the words or the language to communicate their emotional experiences. Parental involvement in the child/teen’s treatment is expected and the frequency of the participation will be assessed periodically.

  • Telemental health is provided using a HIPPA compliant video platform. This is a convenient option for the busy adult to address their needs.

  • Clinical supervision is offered via an integrative arts therapy model to support the clinical and personal growth of early career professionals. This may be useful for the beginning therapist or for those seeking to obtain their ATR hours.
